the challenge
What started as a vector illustration using the basic tools in Adobe Illustrator evolved into a simplified tropical composition featuring palm trees and a sunset. The project explores how fundamental shapes and color relationships can be used to create a visually balanced illustration that conveys warmth, calm, and a sense of place.
tribal illustration
This project explores the transformation of an initial sketch into a stylized illustration inspired by the coquí, a symbol closely connected to Puerto Rican culture. While the assignment focused on creating artwork in a tribal style, the concept developed into a simplified geometric composition that balances structure and visual harmony. The result is a clean illustration that maintains character while using minimal shapes and controlled lines.
