FUTURE LEDGER NEWSLETTER

project overview
FutureLedger is an editorial design project focused on creating a modern newsletter that communicates professional topics through a clear and visually structured layout. The project was developed using an existing template as a starting point, but all typography, colors, images, and layout adjustments were redesigned to create an original publication.

The final piece includes 8 pages (4 spreads) organized to guide the reader through content in a logical and engaging way, combining strong typographic hierarchy with balanced composition.

the problem
The main challenge of this project was transforming a pre-existing template into a completely original design while maintaining professional editorial standards. The template provided the structural foundation, but required careful adjustments to ensure the final result did not look generic or dependent on default styles.

Another important challenge was preparing the document according to professional print requirements, including correct image resolution, color mode, and file formats. Raster images needed to maintain a resolution of 300 ppi in CMYK, while vector graphics needed to be prepared correctly to ensure clarity and scalability without loss of quality.

The project also required selecting only specific spreads from the template and reorganizing visual elements such as text boxes, image areas, and graphic components to support the content effectively.

the solution
The design was developed by restructuring selected spreads and customizing the layout to create a cohesive editorial system. Default template fonts and colors were replaced with a consistent typographic palette that improves readability and visual flow across the publication.

Images and graphic elements were carefully adjusted to maintain print-quality resolution, ensuring that raster images were not scaled beyond 100% in order to preserve the required 300 ppi effective resolution. Vector graphics were prepared in CMYK format to ensure accurate color reproduction when printed.

By adapting the template structure and applying original visual decisions, the final result presents a clean, professional newsletter layout that balances structure and creativity.
