Project Details
The Challenge
Introduce the organization’s mission and services to local residents and businesses using the interviews, activity footage, and photographs available. Limited recording equipment also meant the interview audio needed careful attention.
The Solution
Combine member interviews with activity footage and photographs to create a cohesive series of short videos. Enhance the recorded audio with several software applications and add custom graphics to support the message.
My Role
Video editing, selecting and arranging interview clips, integrating activity footage and photos, enhancing audio, and creating reel graphics in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Outcome

HACS | Nonprofit Video Production
A series of eight short videos created to help the Hispanic American Cultural Society share its mission and services with local residents and businesses. Member interviews, activity footage, and photographs come together to tell the organization’s story.
The video series
Explore all eight reels. Each brings together material from the organization’s interviews and activities.
Behind the series
Working with the available material
The edit combined member interviews, activity footage, and photographs from the organization’s events. Each reel was built around the material available at the time.
Making the voices clearer
The recording equipment introduced audio quality limitations. Several software applications were used to enhance the recorded sound and make the interviews clearer.
Custom graphics for the reels
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop were used to create graphics for the reels. No AI was used in the production of this series.
